Account Recovery
If you are locked out of your OzyOps account, this guide covers the most common recovery scenarios and how to resolve them.
Forgot Your Password
- Go to the OzyOps login page.
- Click Forgot Password or Sign in with Email OTP.
- Enter your email address.
- Check your email for a one-time password (OTP) code.
- Enter the code to sign in.
OTP emails sometimes land in spam or junk folders. Check there if you do not see the email within a minute. If you still do not receive it after 60 seconds, click Resend Code.
MFA Device Lost
If you have lost access to your authenticator app (lost phone, new device, etc.):
If You Have Your Recovery Key
- On the MFA verification screen, click Use Recovery Key.
- Enter the recovery key you saved when you set up MFA.
- You will be logged in and can set up MFA on your new device from Settings > Profile > Security.
If You Do Not Have Your Recovery Key
You need your account Owner to reset your MFA:
- Contact the Owner of your OzyOps account.
- Ask them to go to Settings > Team, find your account, and click Reset MFA.
- Once reset, log in normally and set up MFA again on your new device.
If You Are the Owner
If you are the account Owner and have lost both your MFA device and recovery key:
- Email support@ozyops.com from the email address associated with your OzyOps account.
- Subject: "MFA Reset Request -- [Your Business Name]"
- Include your business name and any verification details.
- Our support team will verify your identity and reset your MFA.
- This process may take up to 24 hours for security reasons.
Account Locked
If your account is locked due to too many failed login attempts:
- Wait 15 minutes. The lockout expires automatically.
- Try logging in again with the correct credentials.
- If you cannot remember your password, use the email OTP method instead.
- If the problem persists, contact support@ozyops.com.
Team Member Removed
If you were removed from a team by the account Owner:
- You immediately lose access to the dashboard.
- Your login credentials still work, but you will see a message indicating you are not part of any team.
- To regain access, the Owner must re-invite you through Settings > Team.
- Previous invitations cannot be reused. A new invitation must be sent.
OAuth Login Not Working
If signing in with Google or Microsoft is failing:
- Try email OTP instead. Click "Sign in with Email OTP" on the login page and enter your email address.
- Check that you are using the right account. If you have multiple Google or Microsoft accounts, make sure you are selecting the one linked to OzyOps.
- Clear your browser cache. Sometimes stale cookies cause OAuth failures. Try logging in with an incognito/private browser window.
- Check the provider status. Occasionally Google or Microsoft OAuth services have outages. Try again in a few minutes.
If email OTP login works but OAuth does not, go to Settings > Profile > Sign-in Methods and try unlinking and re-linking the provider.
Email OTP Not Arriving
If you are not receiving the one-time password email:
- Check spam/junk folders.
- Wait 60 seconds before requesting a new code.
- Check your email address -- make sure you are entering the exact email used for your OzyOps account.
- Try a different email provider -- Some email services delay delivery. If you have an alternative sign-in method (password, OAuth), use that instead.
- Contact support if you still cannot receive emails after multiple attempts.
Common Questions
Can I change the email address on my account? Contact support@ozyops.com to request an email change. This requires identity verification.
What happens to my data if my account is locked? Your data is safe. Account lockouts are temporary security measures. Your calls, pipeline, and settings are not affected.
Can OzyOps support access my account to fix issues? Support can assist with MFA resets and account recovery. They cannot log in as you or access your dashboard on your behalf without explicit permission.
How do I prevent lockouts?
- Save your MFA recovery key in a password manager.
- Link multiple sign-in methods (password + Google or Microsoft).
- Keep your email address up to date.
