How Billing Works

How does the subscription work?

OzyOps is a monthly subscription with included call minutes. You choose a tier based on your call volume:

Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date you signed up. You will receive an invoice email a few days before each billing date.

How does overage billing work?

Each tier includes a set number of call minutes and SMS messages per month. If you go over either:

Minute overage: $0.75/min (Starter/Essential), $0.60/min (Professional), $0.50/min (Enterprise)

SMS overage: $0.03/SMS (Starter/Essential), $0.02/SMS (Professional), custom (Enterprise)

SMS included: 1,000/mo (Starter), 5,000/mo (Essential), 15,000/mo (Professional)

Overage charges are calculated at the end of your billing cycle and added to your next invoice. You will receive email alerts at 80% and 100% of your included minutes so there are no surprises.

You can see your current minute usage on the Billing page of your dashboard.


Upgrading

What happens when I upgrade my plan?

Upgrades take effect immediately. You get instant access to the new tier's features. You will be charged a prorated amount for the remaining days in your current billing cycle -- you only pay the difference, not the full new price.

Example: If you upgrade from Starter ($349) to Essential ($999) halfway through your month, you will be charged roughly $325 for the remaining half-month (not the full $999).

Do my minutes reset when I upgrade?

No. Your used minutes carry forward within the billing period. If you have used 400 of 500 Starter minutes and upgrade to Essential (1,200 minutes), you now have 800 remaining (1,200 - 400).

Can I upgrade at any time?

Yes. Go to your Billing page in the dashboard and click Change Plan. You will be taken to the Stripe billing portal where you can select your new plan. The change and prorated charge happen immediately.


Downgrading

What happens when I downgrade my plan?

You keep your current features until your billing period ends. When you switch to a cheaper plan, the change is scheduled for the end of your current billing cycle. You continue to have full access to your current tier's features for the rest of the month you have already paid for.

Example: If you are on Professional ($1,795) and downgrade to Essential ($999) on March 10, you keep all Professional features until your billing date (say, March 25). On March 25, your plan switches to Essential and you are charged $999 going forward.

Will I get a refund for the remaining days?

No. Since you keep access to your current features for the remainder of the billing period, there is no partial refund. You have already paid for that month and you get to use it in full.

Can I cancel a pending downgrade?

Yes. If you change your mind before the billing period ends, go back to the Stripe billing portal and switch to your original plan (or a different one). Since upgrades take effect immediately, you would be charged the prorated difference.


Cancellation

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to your Billing page in the dashboard and click Manage Subscription. In the Stripe portal, you can cancel your subscription. Your service continues until the end of your current billing period.

What happens after I cancel?

Your AI receptionist stays active until your billing period ends. After that:

  • Your phone number is released
  • Call forwarding stops
  • Historical call data remains accessible for 30 days
  • You can resubscribe at any time

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No long-term contracts. All plans are month-to-month. Cancel anytime.


Getting Started

Is there a free trial?

No. OzyOps does not offer a free trial. When you sign up, your subscription starts immediately and you are billed for your first month. All plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment -- cancel anytime.

Why no free trial?

Invoices and Payments

Where can I see my invoices?

Go to your Billing page in the dashboard. All past invoices are listed with downloadable PDFs. You also receive invoice emails when each invoice is finalized.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through Stripe. You can update your payment method anytime via the Stripe billing portal (click Manage Subscription on your Billing page).

What if my payment fails?

If a payment fails, you will receive an email notification. Your subscription enters a "past due" state. We will retry the payment automatically. If the payment continues to fail, your subscription may be suspended. Update your payment method in the billing portal to resolve this.


Common Questions

Can I switch between tiers at any time?

Yes. Upgrades are instant with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Do unused minutes roll over?

No. Included minutes reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused minutes do not carry over.

How are call minutes calculated?

Minutes are calculated based on the total duration of calls handled by your AI receptionist. Both inbound calls (callers reaching your number) and outbound calls (AI follow-up calls) count toward your included minutes. Each call is rounded up to the nearest minute.

When are overage charges calculated?

Overage charges are calculated and added to your invoice at the end of your billing cycle. During the month, your dashboard shows your current usage and estimated overage in real time. You will also receive email alerts at 80% and 100% of your included minutes.

Can I see my minute usage in real time?

Yes. Your current period's minute usage is displayed on the Billing page of your dashboard, along with how many included minutes remain.
